Wired with an innate ability to connect with others, a knack for finding talent, and adding value to a business’s HR strategic needs, Kristin Nordling founded Lakeside HR Group in 2021. The connections in human resources is what really drives her love for this business, as she believes a business is only as strong as their people.
Known for bringing out the best in employees and leaders, Kristin seamlessly collaborates across departments to guide companies through the complexities of organizational design and HR strategy. She also has a reputation for team optimization and employee excellence, and is fiercely dedicated to connecting others, and helping them see their full potential. Kristin is ambitiously focused on steadily growing Lakeside HR Group into a full brick and mortar office, with a team who is equally enthralled with supporting companies through change.
Kristin attended Bemidji State University and graduated with a degree in Mass Communications. Prior to starting Lakeside HR Group, she spent over 25 years in various Senior Leadership roles within the world of HR, and is driven to pour her passion into helping businesses thrive. She has effectively navigated some of the most challenging human-capital issues that organizations face, from establishing HR departments to getting businesses ready for sale. Kristin also assists clients in executing seamless organizational transformations and acquisitions. Prior to starting her own firm, she held CHRO roles and led HR transformations for leading companies like Select Interior Concepts, UnitedHealth Group, Cargill, Thomson Reuters, Blue Cross and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MN, and Dessert Holdings.
Kristin grew up in the suburbs of the Twin Cities and currently resides in Prior Lake, Minnesota with her husband of 25+ years, Brian. Together they have two adult sons and in the summers, they especially enjoy family time on the lake. In her free time, Kristin loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and listening to live music.
Heather has 15 years of experience within the higher education and counseling fields. She has spent time working in disability services, college admissions,and career counseling. Heather has also taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate counseling and career specific courses. For the past two years, she has been working in recruiting and human resources in the private sector.
Heather earned a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is a doctoral candidate in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
In her free time, Heather enjoys being outdoors, especially on the lake during the summer, spending time with family and friends, cooking, vacationing in Florida, and cheering on the Minnesota Golden Gophers, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Holly Trombley joined Lakeside HR in 2022 as a summer intern and immediately hit the ground running! She has quickly shown her passion for HR and has flourished in her internship, helping to discover an array of exceptional talent for our clients.
She is currently a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying Management, Human Resources, and International Business. Holly is also the Vice President of the Society of HR Management (SHRM) at UW Madison. In her free time, Holly enjoys golfing, spending time with friends and family, reading, and traveling.
Jim has over 20 years of corporate recruiting, agency and hiring process improvement experience, working for companies in many different industries including software development, biomed, retail, manufacturing, CPG and healthcare. In his free time, he is a musician/booking manager in a Bluegrass/Americana band.
Kayla has 5+ years of experience in customer service. Her positive energy, attention to detail and passion for ensuring the best experience for her customers is why we brought her to Lakeside HR Group. Kayla is driven to help others by helping showcase their talents and matching them to the right opportunities. In her free time, she enjoys taking her dog on walks, hanging out with friends, and watching her favorite tv shows.
Carla is a business professional with 20+ years of expertise in Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Operations, and Project Management. Major strengths include strategy creation, change management, project planning and the ability to recruit, hire, and develop high performing talent. In her free time, Carla enjoys spending time with family and friends, skiing, attending sporting events, and golfing.
