What the Fast 50 Is All About

Now in its 29th year, the Fast 50 honors 50 privately held companies headquartered in the Twin Cities metro that have demonstrated remarkable revenue growth over the past three years. Companies must meet strict eligibility requirements, including consistent year-over-year growth, a minimum of $1 million in revenue in the most recent year, and verification through audited or CPA-reviewed financial statements.

Being included in this year’s list means we’re part of a select group of businesses whose growth reflects not only strong performance but also resilience, adaptability, and a clear vision for the future.

How We Got Here

Over the past few years, Lakeside has experienced incredible momentum. We’ve expanded our client base, strengthened our team, and refined our processes to better serve the organizations that trust us. Our growth hasn’t happened by chance—it’s been the result of focus, accountability, and a shared commitment to delivering meaningful results for our clients.

Founded by Kristin Nordling in 2021, Lakeside HR Group has grown significantly, now boasting a team of 18 employees. Over the past three years, the company has expanded into two distinct divisions. Kristin attributes much of this success to her team’s commitment to the company’s core values of being genuine, curious, scrappy, and value-driven—always working in trusted partnership with clients.

“Growing quickly isn’t easy—it’s taken intentional effort to stay on track,” Kristin shares. “We’ve implemented a business operating system, created clear accountabilities, set measurable goals, and kept ourselves aligned every step of the way. I’ve never felt more connected to a team than I do right now.”
